It’s Sunday once again

The silence feels so near

I drown in heavy thoughts

Because I can’t be with you.

This distance between us

That seems impossible to break

It pulls me down

There’s nothing I can do for us.

 

If only we could take some steps

And meet halfway

Hope can drive the darkness out

So healing can begin

If we could reach out our hands

So this pain would fade away

That a new time may find us

We’re standing far apart

And hear so many stories

Of a God of mercy

Searched for since forever

But if we feel the same Spirit
